1. Nature of the activity

The expedition is a 650km multi-day walking event across Uganda over 27 days, in hot tropical conditions ranging from 25-30 degrees. It is a strenuous endurance activity that carries inherent risks including but not limited to: heat illness, dehydration, blisters, injury, vehicle traffic, wildlife, and food/waterborne illness.

2. Your medical responsibility

  • You confirm you are in good health and physically capable.
  • You have consulted, or will consult, a doctor before sign-up if you have any medical conditions.
  • You will disclose all medical conditions on this form so the medic can prepare.

3. Insurance

You are required to hold comprehensive travel and medical insurance covering multi-day trekking and evacuation.

4. Medical decisions

The expedition medic has full authority to withdraw any participant on medical grounds. Their decision is final.

5. Assumption of risk

You participate voluntarily with full knowledge of risks. You release organisers and partners from liability for injury or loss, except in cases of gross negligence.
